Getting Used to Change

We were notified that we needed to arrive two weeks later than originally planned, so our entry date at the Provo MTC is Monday, Sept 20th. We will stay 6 days, then fly to Hong Kong on Saturday. Well, we will begin our trip on Saturday night but arrive Monday. Sure beats a slow boat. . . .

Elder and Sister Arnold, the couple we will be replacing, called last night and for an hour answered our questions and outlined what our primary duties will be. Craig will have a 2-5 hour meeting with the Asia Area presidency weekly and will be responsible for the agenda, and follow-up, of course. He will also make all arrangements for their meetings, visitors, and travel. We were disappointed to learn there will not be much travel for us involved. Tussy will be responsible for the 12 apartments the missionary couples live in, the Harmony Mansion high-rise on Hennessey Road, about a 10 minute walk from the Church Administration building on Gloucester Road in Wanchai. She will order repairs and upkeep (like new lightbulbs) as well as publish a monthly newsletter and arrange get-togethers for the couples. When visitors come, she will arrange catering and set-up for any dinners required. The Arnolds assured us we will be very busy!

They suggested that we receive all mail at the Wanchai building, as it's called, so here's the address:
Elder Craig Norman & Sister Theresa Norman
118 Gloucester Road, 10th floor
Wanchai, Hong Kong
This is a more expensive option where you have to go buy an international stamp at the Post Office.

If you just want to do regular U.S. postage, you can use the Church's pouch system:
(write on one piece of paper, fold in 3rds, tape closed, with one U.S. First Class stamp)
Elder Craig Norman & Sister Theresa Norman
Asia Area Office Pouch
Wan Chai
P.O. Box 30150
Salt Lake City, UT 84130-0150
